Web 2.0 Is Here!

Thank goodness I stuck to my principals and built my blogs using best practices, it's going to pay off during the next decade as Web 2.0 leads the way with new technology. Those that built their platforms by following the rules will benefit as the scammers and short-cutters run for the hills or just fade away.

Using Social Media To Make Money

Specifically on Twitter, the only really useful social media website - in my humble opinion. This site can teach you how to blog successfully since you are limited to 140 characters. What you learn is to compact your posts into short, relevant and bulleted topics.

Blog posts do not have to be long, just pertinent and interesting. The trend these days is to just follow and be followed by anyone and everyone. To what purpose, I ask you? Traffic to your blog? Nope.

The scammers would have you believe that having followers in the tens of thousands is the key to making money on Twitter and they will sell you a kit guaranteed to get you mega-followers.

Follow Twitter safety tips to keep this from happening to you and find out more about what Twitter can do for you by visiting my friend Extreme John, for interesting dialog on how to increase your Twitter followers and some cool Twitter safety tips.

The trouble with Twitter is that they don't have the time or the energy to combat all the spammers out there. They have to focus on their major enemies, entities that would shut them down or infect their data base. That still leaves a lot of spammers out there selling Twitter "Secrets to Billions of followers!"

Google has the same problem with keyword abusers and will ban anyone who is prone to using keywords in text that says nothing - relevant to nothing. Linking with sites that have no relevancy to your blog's theme will only get you banned from Google. Believe me folks, you do not want that to happen.

Same thing will happen with Twitter - they hate these scammers!

Let's All Get Rich Using The Internet

What we want to do here is share information on how we built the network and the progress we make in tapping into the advertising revenues that everyone talks about as being attainable with a properly constructed blog or website. We have gambled on the future of the internet with our hard-earned  money instead of the stock market, something we know very little about.

We have spent thousands of hours of our time by building the components of our network using best practices and internet marketing principles and we have high hopes of it eventually paying modest but steady dividends/income. It's tough to be patient when everyone around you claims they know how to make millions of dollars on the internet virtually overnight and put it little or no work in the bargain. Are people that stupid that they fall for these scams? I guess so, I keep seeing them everywhere.

Yes, the network was created specifically to make money via blogging and to shamelessly generate cash for our retirement by providing useful and entertaining information on various subjects we know rather a lot about. Our strategy was not to depend on one website to make us rich, which for us was unrealistic because , we decided to create a number of them that would have the potential to make a few bucks a day. Multiply our sites X 10 bucks a day and you are talking serious money. Between Text Link ads, Adsense and a few select affiliates like Amazon we have high hopes. Stay tuned!

Blogging Is The Answer

It turned out that blogging was the answer but we also knew going in that it was going to be a lot harder than we suspected. We knew absolutely nothing about blogging and how you can make money doing it. We still don't know everything but we kept at it and gradually got better. Now, every day we are a bit more successful, ie encouraged- but we still have a long way to go. We want to share what we have accomplished so far and also hope to get input from people who are doing something similar. What we won't tell you is ours is a foolproof system and you need to buy our "secrets" to making money blogging.

The fact is; A. blogging is hard work, B. it takes time, and C. the rules change daily. But for us it is also fun, rewarding and it's starting to pay off. Now that two years have passed where we worked regular jobs by day and created the components to our network at night, the infrastructure is complete. Netysis.com is where we keep a list and links to all of our current blogs, landing pages, stores and websites. Sounds kind of corporate, I know, but credibility is hard to come by these days for us mom and pop operations.

If You Build It Will They Come?

Just a couple of years ago my wife and I decided to invest in ourselves, rather than buy stock in some company or companies we knew nothing about. Had we stayed that course of investing I can only imagine what our portfolio would look like today! There had to be something we could do to make money besides getting up at 5Am and commuting to a crabby boss, or working for a company with too much politics and not enough business savvy.

But what could we do at home that could generate an income, something that would put us over the top while collecting social security? Our investment plan was to build something we could depend on for income- not to get rich but to supplement our travel funds, pay our bills and help us be able to retire at an age where we could enjoy it. We both had some experience in marketing, writing and a number of computer skills plus a lot of experience, not just from our jobs but things that we were passionate about. The big question was, would our efforts result in hard dollars or fall by the wayside after we lost interest. We had seen the ads, "Make Millions With Blogs" "Secrets to Untold Wealth On The Internet" Having not just fallen off the turnip truck we knew it had to be slightly more complicated than just starting a blog and watching the cash roll in. After all, if you were making millions on the internet would you want to share the "secrets?"
